There’s no doubting the fact that women and girls are significantly more into horses and horse games than men are and this is especially evident from the fact that men tend to be the minority at any stable or equestrian event. This has even been surveyed and proven as, in both the USA and Great Britain, over 90% of horse owners are women and, with all this in mind, it doesn’t really come as a surprise that women would make up the majority of the player base in horse games as well.

The overwhelming majority of women in this particular area certainly comes as a bit of surprise, though, as the majority of horses in the past were owned and utilized by men but this doesn’t seem to be the case any longer.

One of the key reasons why this is the case is perhaps the fact that women are more emphatic by nature and as a result, they tend to treat animals, beings that couldn't stand up for themselves, with more care. This explains why women have historically been more involved in animal protection activities and are less likely to engage in direct animal abuse. This care is extended not only to common household pets like cats and dogs but also to other magnificent creatures like horses.

Women's caring nature also pushes them to seek out ways to actively develop this skillset, whether it is caring for plants or for a horse, so that they can use this skill across different walks of life. By caring for horses, for instance, women are able to develop the necessary skills through which they can care for people later on and help everyone in their relationships grow to the best of their abilities.

All this applies to gaming as well since, in most popular horse games, players usually have to do all the things that they’d have to do if they were taking care of a real horse, albeit with less muscle exertion and sweat. Since women are so into horses, it doesn’t really come as a surprise that they come together to make up the player base of a majority of horse games as well.

Another reason behind the interest of women and horse games is the fact that the psychological bond that women form with horses. While men are certainly able to bond with their horses and become proper companions, they usually use a different, more masculine approach, where they are able to make good use of their strength.

Most women lack that physical strength so they tend to use their brains instead. There's actually this training technique called "gentling" that is commonly employed by female horse trainers. By definition, "gentling" involves the taming of a formidable animal not through strength or punishment but by patience and attention. This is where skills like nonverbal communication and understanding, both skills women usually excel at, are needed. Horses are strong, bulky, and aloof creatures after all and that's why handling them via pure strength isn’t really a viable option either.

All this translates to women being much more interested in horse games than men and, at the same time, better skilled at these games as well since they realize the various intricacies of owning and caring for a horse that men simply cannot and these enable them to perform much more effectively in these games.

All things considered, it’s clear that women are a lot more interested in horse games than men are and the aforementioned reasons are just a few that highlight why this is the case. While on the subject of horse games, we definitely recommend giving them a shot as they’re quite enjoyable and offer experiences that are truly memorable.
