A cute horse racing and stable management game
Welcome to Horse Academy, where you train your horse to be a world-class champion. In Horse Academy, you can do more than just race horses. You can train, groom, feed and get more horses to add to your stable. This kid-friendly game teaches anyone to care for horses and treat them like family, way after they won their race.
Horse Academy is a horse simulation and stable management game that’s great for kids who want to learn more about horses and horse racing. Of course, adults can play too!
When you start the game, you can choose from a selection of horses and pick their attributes like body and hair color, as well as their talents. You can assign one or more stars to any of the eight talents listed.
Once you’ve created your first horse, you can then enter your first race. There are two racing types for this game: Standard Race and Showjumping. A Standard Race is where your horse races against other horses, and in Showjumping, you ride your horse and have him jump over obstacles on the track. This game has a third person POV, so you can view the race from the benches and wait for it to finish. In a Standard Race, there is a Whip and Ease button you can click on to control your horse. In Showjumping, there’s a Jump button you can use to make your horse jump over the obstacles. To enter another race, you can click on the racing flag icon on the top part of the game window and choose a race type again.
Depending on your ranking, you get a reward for finishing any type of race. In addition to earning money, you also earn XP points. The higher your XP points, the faster and stronger your horse becomes. Levelling up also means being able to unlock some items and tasks.
Money in Horse Academy can be used for almost all items, but another currency is the Academy Dollars (signified by a horseshoe icon). Academy Dollars can buy valuable items like special horses, vitamins and training equipment.
There’s also another feature called “Ranch Goalsâ€. Ranch Goals are a list of activities you can do in return for rewards. For example, you get 2,000 for feeding your horse for the first time. It’s the equivalent of Achievements in other games.
Horse Academy, as the game suggests, is also a stable management game. You can visit your horse in his stable to feed and groom him, equip him with different accessories and take him to training. Each of these actions also reward you and add to your experience points.
To keep winning races, be sure to go to the stable and click on the Train button. There are several training modes to choose from, and they improve your horse’s speed, endurance, stride, cadence and strength.
An important thing to watch out for when managing your horse is its overall health. In the stable, you will see several colored bars with different icons. The star with the number on it indicates your horse’s experience level, the smiling icon indicates your horse’s health and happiness, the sweating smiley indicates your horse’s energy level and the eating smiley indicates your horse’s hunger level. To consistently win races, all these indicators have to be at least more than half full. You can play around with the buttons on the stable to learn how to manage a healthy and happy horse.
This game looks very appealing to kids and adults alike, because of its vibrant cartoon-style graphics. It’s very cute to look at, and can definitely catch your little one’s attention. The sound and music are also very kid-friendly and doesn’t at all distract from the game itself.
